This return client wanted a pair of bespoke open bookcases to complete their spacious landing. They needed to be able to stylishly display books, ornaments and other decorative items on their landing either side of a window and include apertures for access to plug sockets in the wall behind, as well as fitting over the skirting board.
The Design
To fulfil the brief, we designed a set of mirror image shelving units, crafted exactly to the sizes needed using high-quality, moisture resistant MDF and finished in an attractive water-based paint shade that complements the client’s interior design choices.
The Installation
Once constructed, our team then carried out a professional installation for the client, ensuring perfect placement. This presented its own challenges, as the finished units were very heavy, and the client’s property features a spiral staircase. Nonetheless, our team was successful, and the units were fitted seamlessly.
The Aftercare
Long-term, these bespoke bookcases will hold their colour and will require no more in the way of maintenance than an occasional wipe with a damp cloth then a dry cloth to remove any dirt or dust.
